Urbano is an experienced attorney, counselor, and zealous advocate.  Christian brings over nineteen years of practice to UrbanoLaw, from major Boston law firms to small firms and solo practitioners, which enables him to draw on his wealth of experience to better represent his clients.  Christian focuses his practice on various aspects of family law and related domestic litigation, including divorce, annulments, child custody, child support, alimony, paternity/parentage actions, equitable division of marital estates, separation agreements and agreements for judgment, guardianship petitions, guardian ad litem investigations, removal/relocation requests, and supporting or defending against 209A abuse prevention orders. 

Prior to becoming the principal and founder of UrbanoLaw, Christian represented clients in a broad range of legal matters.  Christian continues to provide representation to indigent and white-collar federal criminal defendants in the United States District Courts for the Districts of Massachusetts, New Hampshire (pro hac vice), and Southern District of New York.  From 2000 to 2010, Christian was an associate attorney with Choate, Hall & Stewart, LLP, Goulston & Storrs, P.C., and Murphy & King, P.C.  His legal practice focused primarily on complex business bankruptcy matters and related litigation, from successful chapter 11 reorganizations to chapter 7 liquidations, representing debtors, secured and trade creditors, chapter 7 trustees and chapter 11 plan administrators.  From 1999 to 2000, Christian served as law clerk to the Honorable Justice Robert G. Flanders, Jr., of the Supreme Court of Rhode Island and served as a student prosecutor in Cambridge District Court in 1999.

Christian has significant public interest experience with non-profit organizations, school district volunteer work, town committee and caucus chairperson, a town committee chairperson, and other town-focused endeavors for the town of Swampscott, Massachusetts.

Christian is the proud father of three wonderful children – Mackenzie, Christian, and Bridget, proud husband to his wife, Isabel, and proud step-father to Isabel’s two amazing daughters, Lettie and Addison.
